You will need to Locate the Belt Tensioner. It has a Large Pulley on a Bracket that Has a Bolt in the Middle and a Smaller Pulley that Goes Under the Belt and Holds Tension on it. You will need to get a Wratchet, Socket, and Cheater Bar. Turn the Bolt On the Top Large Pulley with the Wratchet and Cheater Bar. This will Lower the Smaller Pulley So that you will be Able to Remove the Belt. Please Rate My Response! Thanks! P.S. the link below is for the Belt Routing Diagram. http://wwwader/multiview/dayco/catalogSearch?autoCatalogSearch=1&make=TOYOTA&model=TACOMA&year=2006&year_from=&year_to=&engine=All&l=n1On my 2005 Tacoma with the 4 V6, I found it easier to change the belt from under the truck. Just remove the skid pan. Plenty of room to install the belt. The tensioner pulley is the one at about 2-o'clock from the crankshaft with the belt nearly all the way around it.0I am not sure about "fusible link", But the suggeation I can give you is to open dash or where the outlet is located and check the wires in the back of outlet with a light tester.0I had the same issue. For a while, it would work then stop. I took apart the console and found a resistor where the solder burnt off over time. Yes, that ****** gets that hot! Here's a picture of the resistors. I only had one resistor that needed to be resoldered. It's been almost 6 months and working well. Just turn 114K miles on my 06http://wwwities/louinreno/Temp_guage20go to local library and look @ hanes manual for free. You can also purchase one at napa or autozone, or buy the toyota shop factory manual for 100 dollars.0
